There are two elements to this contest (each, an "Element"):
(1) a sweepstakes contest event (the "Sweepstakes Element"); and
(2) a scratch-and-save event (the "Scratch and Save Element").
1. THE SWEEPSTAKES ELEMENT
ELIGIBILITY:
The Sweepstakes Element is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) or agents of Home Hardware Stores Limited ("Sponsor"), all Home Hardware stores across Canada ("Stores") and their advertising and promotional agencies.
THE CONTEST PERIOD:
The Sweepstakes Element begins on May 21st, 2014 at 12:00:01 am Eastern Time and ends on June 23rd, 2014 at 11:59:59 pm Eastern Time (the "Sweepstakes Contest Period")
HOW TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Sweepstakes Element of the Contest, visit the Home Hardware 50th Anniversary website at www.HH50.ca (the "Website"). Follow the on-screen instructions to access the Contest entry form. Fully complete the Contest entry form and submit it to enter the Sweepstakes Element of the Contest (an "Entry"). Entries can be made in English or French. All Entries become property of the Sponsor.
There is a limit of one in to receive emails in the future, completing their preference center updates or sharing with their friends.
Entry in the Sweepstakes Element of the Contest per person/email address permitted during the Sweepstakes Contest Period. However, once each individual has registered with homehardware.ca, they can receive one bonus entry for each of the following actions by: 1. Opting in to receive future emails. 2. Completing their preference centre updates on www.homehardware.ca or 3. Sharing the contest with their friends on Facebook (share on their timeline) or Twitter (tweet the contest information). Maximum 3 bonus entries per eligible entrant. Use (or attempted use) of multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated system to enter or otherwise disrupt this Contest is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification by the Sponsor. The Sponsor, its assignees, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and associates (the "Releasees") are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Entries. All Entries are subject to verification at any time. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor - including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
THE PRIZE:
There will be one (1) grand prize consisting of a 2014 Toyota Highlander Limited with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $45,100.00 CAD. Prize includes destination/freight charges and all applicable fees and taxes. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following general conditions apply to the Prize: (i) Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); (ii) no substitutions except at Sponsor's option; (iii) Sponsor reserves the right at any time to substitute the Prize or a component thereof for any reason with a prize or prize component(s) of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor's sole discretion, a cash award; (iv) colour and other specifics of the Prize will be at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor and subject to availability; (v) manufacturer's standard warranty applies to the Prize; (vi) upon notification, the confirmed Prize winner will be required to personally take delivery of the Prize from a Toyota dealership within Canada reasonably close to his/her place of residence in Canada as determined by Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, and will be required to present adequate personal identification (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor - including, without limitation, government issued photo identification); (vii) Prize will not be released unless and until the confirmed Prize winner first shows proof (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor) of having a valid driver's license (equivalent to a full "G" class license in Ontario) in the province/territory in which he/she resides and proof (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor) of satisfactory insurance; (viii) confirmed Prize winner is solely responsible for all expenses that are not included in the Prize description above, including, but not limited to, registration and license fees, insurance, additional accessories and all other costs associated with: (a) any upgrade or option package(s) that he/she may request (and that may be permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); (b) obtaining a valid driver's license, license plates, registration, insurance and/or fuel; and/or (c) taking delivery of the Prize. The Prize will only be awarded to the eligible entrant whose verifiable full name and valid e-mail address appears on the Entry Form.
There will be three (3) secondary prizes consisting of a card redeemable for fifty-thousand (50,000) Aeroplan Miles (an "Aeroplan Prize"). You must register with Aeroplan to redeem this card for eligible goods and/or services offered by Aeroplan and its partners. All such Aeroplan Prizes are subject to Aeroplan's terms and conditions, which may change without notice. Each Aeroplan Prize has no cash value but are redeemable for flights and other rewards, the retail value of which may vary. Details may be found at www.aeroplan.com.
There will be fifty (50) tertiary prizes consisting of a Home Hardware gift card with fifty dollars ($50) pre-loaded onto the card (a "Gift Card Prize"), each with a retail value of $50 CAD.
All prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions may be made except at Sponsor's discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize for another prize of equal or greater value. |
